Professional Women of McLean County, Inc, a not-for-profit organization, was established to provide a forum specifically for businesswomen to connect, network and grow professionally. Part of our mission is to act as a benefactor for women in their academic and professional development pursuits.

To this end, PWMC is proud to present from two scholarship funds annually to assist women pursuing educational, professional or technical training, development and certification.

The Virginia Mosbacher Endowed Scholarship at the Illinois Prairie Foundation may be presented annually to women who have met established criteria of community leadership, clarity, and focus of career objectives attending a 2-year degree or certificate program at Heartland Community College or Lincoln College-Normal. The scholarship application period for 2020 is now closed. Watch for our 2021 scholarship opportunities to become available in early February 2021.

The Professional Women of McLean County Women’s Professional Advancement Scholarship is fully funded through our annual fundraising campaigns. This scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing professional and/or career development  (i.e. professional certification, licensing, Leadership McLean County, continuing education, etc) or formal education at a local college or university (i.e., Heartland Community College, Lincoln College, Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University). The 2020 scholarship application period is now closed. Watch for our 2021 scholarship opportunities to come available in early February 2021.
