“Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.” ~Harry Truman
If you do it right, your education never ends. Regardless of how many degrees and certifications you have, you can always learn more. As Ryan Holiday says, “understanding and mastery is a fluid, continual process.” Even if you are a master at your craft, there are countless other things from which you can learn and glean insight.
It is at this aim that Professional Women of McLean County is proud to announce our inaugural book club.
Our inaugural book club selection is “Brave, Not Perfect” written by Reshma Saujani. The book was inspired by her powerful and popular TED Talk: Teach Girls Bravery, Not Perfection.
PWMC Director at Large Charlene Homan will facilitate discussion over the next several months on our Facebook page and we’ll take our July meeting as a round table discussion time – unpacking the book and its messages!
Purchase your copy of the book from your favorite book seller or hold on purchasing until our March meeting for a chance to win a copy of the book donated by Charlene!
